Marjorie Purves

(Hazel) Marjorie Purves passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, with her daughter-in-law by her side. Marjorie was born in Fort William on July 12, 1926, to the late Hilda & Hugh Browne. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Joan Purves, grandchildren Jennifer, Anne (John Tenhave), Jackie, and Bill, son Robert (Bev) from Winnipeg. Her great grandchildren Kamryn, Clayton, Connor, Avery, and Hunter, as well as nieces and nephews. Marjorie is predeceased by her husband Robert, son David, sisters Constance and Norah, brothers Leslie and Hugh (Buster), nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service was held at Mountainview Cemetery on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 11am with Pastor Nancy Ringham officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Thunder Bay District Humane Society would be appreciated.
