The suspect's vehicle was found in a ditch along Highway 17 after failing to stop for RCMP officers in Manitoba

OPP executed a search warrant at a home on Highway 621 in Dawson township on Wednesday after a weapons incident happened earlier in the week on Monday.

The investigation led to police seizing a firearm and what they described as a "large quantity" of ammunition, along with a knife. Police also seized suspected cocaine, methamphetamine and items related to drug trafficking.

Red Lake resident is facing multiple charges after OPP found methamphetamine and a sawed-off shotgun.

Questions about licence-plate cameras raised suspicion

The vehicle was later found abandoned and officers were able to recover the keys

Three people entered a Valley Drive business, with one pointing a pistol-type firearm at an employee and demanding money before the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The accused is charged with assault with a weapon, theft, mischief, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
