Violet Louise Wigmore, age 86 years passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Violet was born on June 12, 1937, in Port Arthur, Ontario. Violet attended St. James School and Hillcrest High School. After a 40-year career with the Royal Bank she retired in 1996. Violet loved her crafts and was extremely good at her ceramics and knitting.
Violet loved spending her summers at her cottage at West Loon.
Violet is survived by her brother George Wigmore, niece-In-law Ellen Wigmore and her children Blake, Devin (Montana), niece Brenda (Kevin) Nahkala and their children Mitchell and Cameron. She was predeceased by her parents Ada and George Wigmore, sister-in-law Margaret Wigmore and nephew Kevin Wigmore. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024 in the Sargent Family Reception Centre, 21 N. Court Street.
A private interment will follow. The family wishes to thank the 5th floor and palliative floor at St. Joseph’s for their care and compassion.
