It is with heavy hearts that the family of Terry Tennant announce his sudden passing of pancreatic cancer at the age of 73 on March 2, 2025.

Terry was born in 1952, the eldest son of Clifford and Edna Tennant. He attended Shuniah Public School and Lakeview High School. He started working part-time at Dominion Stores while still in school and after graduation, he worked full-time for Dominion and then Safeway Stores right up until he retired in 2017. He always enjoyed working in the grocery business.

Once Terry retired, he started volunteering more with Kitty Kare (yard sale mainly) and the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign. He enjoyed meeting and talking with the general public during these times. He joined the Healthy Hearts exercise group at the Canada Games Complex, the "Go Slow" Curling League at Port Arthur Curling Club and Wednesday Cribbage Card Group at Current River Recreation. He really enjoyed the fellowship at all these gatherings. Sadly, after he got sick in December, he had to give up all of these fun activities.

Up until Covid, travelling, especially road trips and cruises, were enjoyed immensely over the years by Terry and his wife of almost 50 years, Anita.

Terry always found the time to spend time with his good friends, Rod, Kevin, Pekka, Ed K. and Ed M. be it for coffee and conversation, watching movies or eating at the Legion breakfasts.

He is survived by his wife Anita; sister Joyce (Fred) Freamo; brother D. Andrew (Julia) Tennant; mother-in-law Mary Moir; brothers-in-law Doug, Don, Gord (Gislanie), David (Jackie) Moir and Ken Schultz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews on both sides of their family. He also leaves behind his precious feline rescues, Asia and Poppy.

Terry was predeceased by his Mom and Dad; brother Miles; sisters Diann Redden, Joan Schultz; father-in-law Fred Moir Sr.; brothers-in-law Fred Moir Jr., Jim Redden; sister-in-law Irene Scott and long-time friend Jim York.

As per Terry's wishes, there will not be a funeral service. However, a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Harbourview Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity you support. They are all struggling these days and help so many people (or animals) in need.

At this time, we would like to acknowledge and thank all the friends, family and medical professionals who have stepped up to help Terry and Anita during this difficult illness and to keep Terry comfortable in his final days. You are all angels.

I Love you more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow. Rest in Peace, Terry.

Condolences may be offered at www.harbourviewfuneral.ca
