Sandy Muir, aged 70 years, passed away on March 22, 2024, after bravely battling cancer. Throughout her life, Sandy dedicated many years as a cashier at Canadian Tire, where she touched the lives of countless individuals with her warm and welcoming presence. In her leisure time, Sandy found solace by the lake, surrounded by cherished friends and family. During her retirement, she immersed herself in the culinary arts, perfecting her favourite recipes and exploring new culinary delights.

An avid animal lover, Sandy held her beloved cat, Nyx, close to her heart. She found joy in the virtual world of World of Warcraft, where she built lasting friendships and a strong community. Sandy's infectious smile, quick wit, and compassionate nature left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Sandy will be deeply missed by her family and friends, including her loving children Shannon Muir and Shane Muir. A Celebration of Life will be held to honour Sandy's memory on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Westfort Prosvita, 721 Gore Street W., from 4pm – 5pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the TBRHSC Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society, organizations that provided invaluable support to Sandy and her loved ones during her battle with cancer. The family's commitment to this cause reflects their belief in the importance of supporting those affected by cancer, a disease that tragically impacts so many lives.
