It is with profound sadness that the family of Robert Walter Slusar announce his passing on Tuesday August 1st, 2023, at the age of 91. He died peacefully in his sleep at home. Born on March 25th, 1932 in Fort William.
 
Over his working career, he worked in many trades which include carpentry and finished as a millwright. Bob was a long time member of Royal Lodge. He affiliated with Shuniah Lodge in Port Arthur. Bob was also a long time member of many York Rite bodies.
 
He had many hobbies and interests over his lifetime including: Bee keeping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and spending time at the family camp on Sunset Lake.
 
Bob is survived by his children: Bob Jr. (Linda), Holly (Leslie), Ron. Grandchildren: Dayna, Kyle, Hutch, Kayla and Landen. Great grandchildren: Lilly, Sophia, Jack, Noah and Nikki.
 
He was predeceased by his wife Irene, parents: Nicholas and Helena Slusar and in-laws Duncan and Isabelle Mckinnon.
 
Cremation has taken place.
 
A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Friday August 11th at Pinegrove United Church, 100 Highway 130 at 11am with reception to follow at Rosslyn Community Hall, 3405 Rosslyn Road.
