It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Ann Nordstrom on June 7, 2025, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with her beloved family by her side.

Born on October 1, 1947, in Fort William, Ontario, Linda dedicated her life to caring for others with compassion, strength, and unwavering commitment. Her career as an Addiction Research Foundation Counsellor, spanning many years in Thunder Bay and Haldimand County, was marked by a dedication to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most difficult moments. Her work touched countless lives and left a legacy of kindness, empathy, and advocacy. Linda had a deep and abiding love for both people and animals. Her home was always open to conversation and comfort for all her guests. She believed in the importance of caring for others - whether through her professional work or her personal life - and she gave generously with her time, heart, and energy.

She also had an appreciation for the finer things in life. Whether it be a perfectly set table, a beautifully decorated and tidy home, well-chosen words in a good book, or her outfits, Linda found joy in life’s details and shared that joy with everyone around her. Above all, she was a devoted and fiercely loving mother of four, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of six, whose presence, perseverance, guidance, resilience, love, and laughter formed the foundation of her family. To her loved ones, she was nothing short of an angel on earth – just in the body of a tiny yet mighty woman.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28th, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at 4591 Oliver Road, Murillo, ON. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in honour of Linda's beautiful life. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the exceptional care team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre - especially the compassionate doctors, nurses, and housekeeping staff of Unit 1A, the cancer clinic, physiotherapists, laboratory team, and nutrition and food services. Your kindness will never be forgotten and made some of our hardest days as a family more endurable.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the TBRHSC Cancer Foundation, Faye Peterson House, or the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society—all causes that reflect her values and compassion. Online condolences may be shared at www.sargentandson.com.

Linda’s love, grace, and strength will live on in all who knew her. She will be missed beyond words and remembered with endless love. Rest in peace, Geeg.
