It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Lillie Thompson, age 73, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
Lillie was born on May 5, 1950, in Port Arthur, Ontario. She worked at Dawson Court as a PSW for many years and her greatest joy was raising her sons and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Her cheerful attitude, bright smile and infectious laugh will be missed.
Lillie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Fred; children: Fred Jr. (Christina), Harold (Jennifer) and Gary (Melissa); siblings: Rose, Helen, Heather (Roy), Juanita, Chuck (Linda), Curtis and Glenn; her six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Catherine Upton, and sister Roberta.
Funeral Services for Lillie will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre presided by Rev. Gordon Holroyd. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lillie’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
