With profound sadness we announce the passing of Joyce Mildred Goodman (nee Morgan), our loving Mother and Grandmother, on August 26, 2023.

Joyce was born on May 21, 1934 in Port Arthur, Ontario, As a child Joyce lived in Leitch Mine before moving on to Beardmore, On. and Charlottetown PEI and finally settling down in Midland with her beloved husband , the late John Clements Goodman.

Joyce was an avid sports person who enjoyed golfing and curling and often told many stories of her hockey days as a young girl. Joyce was always first to volunteer to help lead or be the leader for Girl Guides, Brownies, CGIT and Messengers and if she couldn’t find anyone else to help she threw in her husband's name. To say Joyce was a walker is an understatement. Sun, rain or snow you would find Joyce power walking around Midland or walking backwards up Hugel Ave to help strengthen her legs. Joyce was a member of the Eastern Star and a great friend to many.

The world was a better place with Joyce in it…where ever she went she lit up the room with her million dollar smile and beautiful face.

Preceded in death by her parents Russell Milton Morgan and Louise Gertrude Dick, and siblings Russel, Vivian and Gloria. Survived by brother Richard.

Survived by her children , Jack (Tara), Mark (Nancy), Lorne (Lynn), Jenny (John), Kelly (Ken) and her grandchildren Kara, Jay, Morgan, Kendra, Ashley, Drew, Kaitlyn, Rebekah, Taylor, Hazel and great grandchildren Alexia, William, Mason, Brooklyn, Ruby, Samantha, Kian, Sam and Grace.

Private family service only.
