On Thursday, August 10th, 2023, Jeannine passed away peacefully at 95.

Born in Plessisville, Quebec, on May 18, 1928, she moved to Geraldton, Ontario, in 1955 to raise her family with her husband until relocating to Thunder Bay in 1994 after retirement.

She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was kind and generous, dedicating her life to helping others.

She is survived by her sons Normand and Gaetan; daughters-in-law; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other family members. She was predeceased by her husband Leopold, her sons; Daniel, Rene, Jean, and her daughter Micheline.

Thank you to all the staff at Pioneer Ridge and special thanks to the Plaza 2 staff for their incredible compassion, support, and care of her through her final years.

She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her but fondly remembered for the warmth she gave to those lucky enough to be in her light.

A small celebration of life will be held for close friends and family. In memoriam, donate to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or a charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.

If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,
I’d walk right up to Heaven
And bring you home again.
