Germaine Mary Thompson (nee Couture), age 84 years, passed away March 26, 2024 at TBRHSC.
Germaine was married in 1956 to Bruce Paul Thompson. They started a family at a young age.
They owned and operated Smallwood’s Store on Dawson Road until 1975. Germaine ran a ceramic shop from there at which she excelled. She also worked at George’s Market and later Saan Store, until retirement.
She is survived by sons Richard (Dawn), Kevin (Martha), many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister June (Cameron) and son-in-law Dave.
Germaine is predeceased by husband Bruce, son Mark, daughter Cheryl, grandson Theodore, brothers Jack, Reginald and Donald, parents Albert and Anne Couture.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
