Mr. Gerald Harry Dicks, age 77 years, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Gerald was born in Springdale, Newfoundland on November 3, 1946 to parents, Allen Dicks & Dorothy Coombs.
Gerald enjoyed the outdoors and carpentry very much, along with fishing and netting with his sons and his good friend Andy. He loved to gossip and make his daily phone calls to his family and friends. His last year was spent with his youngest son, Nathan & his family, allowing him to spend time with his youngest grandson, Georgie.
Gerald is survived by his children, Rick, Tracy, Susan, Donald, Allen and Nathan (Brittney). He also leaves behind many grandchildren, his sisters Pat and Wanda and his brother Roger.
He was predeceased by his parents Allen Dicks and Dorothy Coombs; and his siblings Georgina, Merlyn, Romajean, Linda and Bert.
As per Gerald's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. His ashes will be sent back to Newfoundland with his sister Pat to lay him to rest alongside his father and brothers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
