It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Emile Cyr on June 1st, 2025 at the age of 70.
George will be forever remembered by his devoted wife, Shirley Cyr, who shared many years of love and companionship with him. He was known for his great sense of humour, his carpentry skills and his love of caring for horses. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and craftsmanship
He was predeceased by his Mother, Marguerite Forget (Fern Renauld), Father, Emile Cyr (Sally) and Son, Paul Cyr.
George is lovingly survived by his son, Stephan Cyr, stepson, Peter Petryshyn, and stepdaughter, Brenda Petryshyn (Craig Norman). He will be missed dearly by his grandchildren: Anthony Thomas Mitchell, Randy Petryshyn-Taylor (Marissa O'Nabigon), Aodhan Norman, Caleigh Norman, and Jenny Norman; as well as his adored great-grandchildren: Nicholas Mitchell, Kaiser Chalifoux, Maria Taylor-Petryshyn, and Journey Taylor-Petryshyn. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family.
A celebration of life will be held for Mr. George Cyr at 1:30PM on June 19th, 2025 at the Faith City Church in Geraldton, Ontario, officiated by Pastor Glen Wesley, and all are welcome to attend.
