December 4th, 1939 – March 15th, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beloved mother, Donna Siciliano, passed away peacefully on March 15th, 2024 after suffering a stroke back in September.

She is survived by her daughter, Teri-Lee (Sue) and her son John; grandchildren Justin (Katie), Jordan, Amy (Kris), Kylie, Jonathan and great-grandchildren Brooks, Tage, Aspen, Atticus and Logan plus numerous members of her extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Sam and sister Heather.

Donna did her training at St. Joseph’s Hospital and was the Head Nurse at McKellar General Hospital on the Labour and Maternity Floor for years, which she enjoyed immensely and took pride in. She then went on to a part-time position on 2 South (psychiatric ward) for a short time, and moving to a casual position at Grandview Lodge until her complete retirement.

Donna and Sam enjoyed many years as snow birds in Arizona. Donna enjoyed travelling the world with her dear friends Elsie and Nancy. She thoroughly enjoyed going to the Community Auditorium for virtually any event, attending Summer In The Park and time with her family, and was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent her last years very content and joyful at Lila Greco apartments up until her stroke.

The family would very much like to thank everyone at St. Joseph’s Care Hospital, 3rd and 4th floors, both the staff and doctors took amazing care of our mom right up to the end. Also, we would like to thank Suzanne Quirion for all her help and expertise with the service. To all our family and friends for all the generous gifts of food, messages, flowers and cards. THANK YOU!

A Funeral Service for Donna Siciliano will be held on Thursday, March 28th, 2024 at 11:00am in the EVEREST – WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James, with a celebration of life reception to follow immediately afterwards in the Chapel. Food and beverages will be offered.

Donations can be made in Donna’s name to both the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the St. Joseph’s Foundation with thanks.
