Mr. Dean Justin VanRoon, age 30 years, resident of Thunder Bay and Dawson City for 7 years, passed away unexpectedly at his home with family at his side on February 29th, 2024. Born on April 29th, 1993 in Thunder Bay; he was raised and educated in Thunder Bay and graduated from Superior CVI. He worked at many places in Thunder Bay before moving to Dawson City, Yukon. There, he worked at a youth centre and also as a general labourer wherever he could get work.
Dean is survived by his Oma Willy VanRoon, his parents Michael VanRoon (Stephanie Danylko) and Brenda Kelly, his brothers Sean Cote, James VanRoon, sister Mia VanRoon, nephew Zander VanRoon. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Slovak Legion, 801 Atlantic Ave., on April 7th, 2024 from 2pm until 5pm in the main hall. All are welcome to drop by and share stories with family and friends.
