It is with broken hearts the family of Clifford Jeffrey Paul, announce his passing on May 29, 2025, at the age of 54, after a long courageous battle with ALS. He passed peacefully with his family by his side. He is now free riding and smiling in his corvette, while he watches down on his cherished family and friends.

Cliff was born on September 7, 1970 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. His life was defined by a work hard, play hard attitude. He graduated from Westgate High School and Algonquin College, then started his Sheet Metal journeyman career at 22 years of age at Nesco in Thunder Bay. He continued to work for various companies and finished his career at the Toronto Transit Commission at the age of 50, due to illness. He would proudly tell his children about all of the buildings he worked on in Thunder Bay throughout his career. He was a dedicated hard working employee and met many lifelong friends over the years. He married his high school sweetheart and partner through life, Angela Kane, on August 19, 1995. Together they raised two wonderful children, Alysha and Justin, and built an adventurous and joyful life together. Even though Cliff’s life was far too short, he lived a full and busy life until his diagnosis. Family and friends will have fond memories spending time with him camping, water skiing, playing hockey, coaching hockey, going for rides in his corvette, working on various projects around the house, and sharing stories and laughs over a few drinks. His bright smile, infectious laugh and witty humour will be truly missed. He was a jack of all trades, and was always willing to lend a hand. He would solve problems you didn’t even know you had. He had so many skills he wanted to pass onto his children. His “life lessons” were disguised as DIY projects, teaching his children valuable life skills. Even though he wasn’t physically able to do odd jobs around the house since his diagnosis, he was eager to teach his family anyway he could. He pushed Alysha and Justin to give 100 percent in everything they did and wanted the best for them. It was important to him that his kids grew up to be loved, happy, confident, respectful and have the same strong work ethic he had. He was so proud of them and was always there to support them. He was a strong, proud man who had unwavering love and support for his family and friends.

He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 29 years, Angie, who was honoured to be able to provide his care throughout his battle with ALS, their beloved children, Alysha and Justin, his supportive parents, Clifford and Theresa (Trafny), sister Leana Moffitt (Tyler), sister-in-law Cindy Morson (Jim), brothers-in-law Mike (Mariola) and Roger Kane (Kathy), nieces Erika, Cassandra, Mia, Carly, Joelle, nephews Jace, and Beckham, and many beloved family members. He was also honoured to have amazing close friends who stuck by his side and continued to reach out with their love and support. He considered many of them his “brothers”.

Thank you to ALS Canada and Dr. Mangatal for all of their support.

As per Cliff’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a private service. If friends desire, in lieu of flowers a donation to ALS Canada would be appreciated. https://donate.als.ca/page/116715/donate/1

but our souls know you are at peace.
