It is with deep sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and grandson, Blake Sebastian Pans, age 7 years, unexpectedly in his home community of North Caribou Lake First Nation on Monday, May 26, 2025.

Blake was born in Sioux Lookout on June 29, 2017, son of Stuart and Rosemary (nee Jeremiah) Pans. He was attending school in North Caribou where he was friends with everyone. Blake was not afraid to express himself in every way. He greatly enjoyed dressing up, playing with makeup, and dying his hair, sometimes even with food colouring when he had no other options. He was a hairdresser in the making as he loved to cut hair, whether it be people or dolls and Barbies. Blake also loved sports, especially ice hockey, ball hockey and football. He was a bright and loving kid with a huge heart. Our family and community will miss him, but we keep the memories he left us with close at heart.

Blake will be forever loved by his parents, Stuart and Rosemary Pans; siblings Letitia, Brenda, Stuart Jr., Rihanna, Khitai and brother in law; Tredan, nephew Ezra; grandparents Lucy Pans and Silas Jeremiah; Auntie Stephanie and Uncle Sonny Pans as well as many other aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family.

He was predeceased by his brother, Lanny Pans and grandmother Elizabeth Jeremiah.

A Viewing Service for Blake will be held in Thunder Bay on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 11:00am until 1:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James, officiated by Pastor Randall Crowe.

Blake will then be transported home to North Caribou Lake First Nation. The Funeral Service will be held in the Weagamow Lake Evangelical Fellowship Church on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 1:00pm, officiated by Pastor Jerry Quequish. Burial will follow in the Weagamow Lake Community Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held on Monday in the Church.
