Barbara Doris Marion Graham, age 69, passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on February 28, 2024 with the deepest of love and sorrow from her family and friends.

Barbara was born on May 20, 1954 in Arnprior, Ontario to Stewart Ring and Mildred Coughlan. She worked as a devoted mom to her surviving three children, Ken, John, and Jason. She loved church, biblical verses and was a devout Catholic, baptized at the church of Saint Michael at Fitzroy Harbour on May 21, 1962.

Barbara and Brent (late husband) enjoyed spending many hours visiting friends at McDonald’s and with other friends that they made from the community and church. After the passing of her husband, she became more home bound but found many ways to enjoy her time such as studying biblical verses and watching TV with the occasional visits from her grandsons Alijah, Isaiah, and Gabriel as well as her sons Jason, Ken, and John. She was also very happy and elated about the recent birth of her new grandson Rhys (John and Caleigh). She also spent many hours talking on the phone with her sister-in-law Cynthia Graham and other close family members. Barb also enjoyed spending time with her friend Joyce who was a tremendous help in assisting her with chores around town as well as her next-door neighbor, Howard who occasionally brought her coffee and snacks.

Barbara graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in May of 1989 and was extremely proud of her accomplishments.

She is survived by her children Kenneth, John, and Jason; grandchildren Isaiah, Alijah, Gabriel, and Rhys; brother Danny as well as her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Cynthia, Peter and Marilyn and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Brent Graham and sister Margaret.

The family would like to thank all the caring nurses and staff who helped care for her at the hospital as well as all her close friends and many of the people in her housing coop community who came by to visit and offer support.

Barbara, “Beautiful stranger in the land…Courageous”

May the Lord bless and keep you

May the sun always be on your face and the wind at your back

May you be honest, kind, and sincere, and guided by the light of the Lord
