It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband, dad, son, and brother, Yvan. After courageously battling advanced COPD and waiting for a double lung transplant, his journey came to an unexpected end.
He will be missed by his wife, Shannon. They were a great source of love, strength and comfort for each other. He was a proud father to William, Kayla (Shawn) and Kris (Brooke), Yvan adored his grandchildren Orla, Autumn, Brielle and Tommy, and cherished the time he spent with them. He's also survived by his loving and supporting parents, Bill and Denise, his sister Crystal (Peter), and his niece and nephew, Sophia and Leo. He is predeceased by his grandparents Douglas and Marlene Blair and Mac and Cecile Gauthier. Yvan was loved by his immediate and extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Yvan, along with his father, built the business of Blair Electronics, which became highly regarded in the telecommunication industry. Outside of work, he was often tinkering in the garage, where he loved rebuilding things. This was a passion he shared with his son, William, and they spent many hours together there. Yvan also loved the outdoors, spending time with family and often seen feeding the birds and chipmunks.
Yvan will be dearly missed by his family. We will miss his laughter, smile and kindness to all. We will find comfort in knowing he's now at peace and can breathe easily now. We love you, Yvan.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2025 in the chapel of Sargent and Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street with Rev. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canada Lung Association. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.
