It is with profound sadness the family of Ronald Elmer Hrenchuk announce his peaceful passing on July 10, 2025 with his loving wife and daughter by his side.
Ron was born on January 29, 1951 in Fort William to Margaret Mirault.
Ron was a hard working man and you could always find him working on some kind of project. Ron spent most of his working career as a Truck Trailer Technician at Superior Tractor Trailer where he worked for 27 years until they closed the doors in 2010.
Ron then went to work at Bombardier where he attained all his welding tickets. Ron finished his work career at Alloy Technical Welding when his cancer diagnosis forced him to retire in December at the age of 73.
To say Ron was a hard worker would be an understatement. Ron enjoyed camping and fishing and always jumped at the opportunity to hit up his favourite lake Kekekaub. Ron’s greatest joy came in 2004 when his beautiful daughter Katelyn was born, he was overjoyed to finally have his miracle child who he doted on and their bond truly was unbreakable.
Ron is survived by his common-law spouse of 23 years Krista Vescio, daughter Katelyn, son-in-law Evin, father and mother-in-law Albert and Linda Vescio, brother-in-law Kyle (Tracey) Vescio, brothers Wayne (Midge), Melvin (Karen), Lorne and sister Phyllis.
Ron is predeceased by mother Margaret Mirault, wife Shelly, brother Robert Henderson, sister-in-law Kara-Li Vescio and Brenda Hrenchuk. Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 20th, 2025 at the Unifor Union Hall, 112 W. Gore St. from 1-4pm. Come join the family for some coffee, tea and desserts.
