With heavy hearts, we share the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Noreen Bearman, on August 17th, 2025, at the age of 101. She lived a life filled with love and laughter, right to the end.

Noreen was born in Sault Ste. Marie to Andrew and Alice Dunn. She was raised in the Soo alongside her brother Daniel (Sonny) Dunn whom she remained close to throughout their lives. After graduating as a registered nurse, she dedicated many years to caring for others at the hospital in Sault Michigan, commuting daily by ferry. It was in the Soo that she met and married our dad, Robert (Bob) Bearman, and together they began their family. Through Bob's work with Bell Canada, they moved to Thunder Bay and then to Nipigon, where they grew and brought up their family.

Mom's remarkable sense of humour and resilience carried her through life's challenges with grace. She was an avid reader and a regular at the library, always up-to-date on world news. Her love for curling took her to many Briers and Silver Brooms, including a memorable trip to Scotland. Playing bridge with her friends was her favourite pastime, filled with laughter and good food. She continued to play well into her 90s, thanks to her dear friends Louise and Amy. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a dedicated member of the CWL for many years.

Noreen was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Alice Dunn, her brother Daniel Dunn, her husband Robert (Bob) Bearman, and their son Bobby Bearman. She leaves behind her children Tom (Leslie), Casey, and Lisa (Don); her grandchildren Haillie (Mark), Erin (Kurtis), and Alex (Isabella); her daughter-in-law Lynn and son Brad who were special friends, along with nieces and nephews.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Paramed for their years of care and for bringing laughter to Mom's days. Our gratitude also goes to the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital for ensuring her last days were peaceful.

Please join us in celebrating Noreen's life at the Church of the Annunciation, Nipigon, ON on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, and if you wish, please consider donating to the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital or a charity of your choice.
