We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved, Linda Stevenson, age 62 years on Friday, June 2, 2023. Linda fought the bravest battle against pancreatic cancer with courage and strength. Linda was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a career with the City of Thunder Bay’s Corporate Information Technology department and cherished the relationships she made with her colleagues. Linda enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, sharing delicious home-cooked meals with her husband over a good bottle of red wine, sewing for her children and grandchildren, travelling, working out, and using her artistic talents to create beautiful art projects. For many years, she was a proud volunteer and Committee Member of Thunder Bay Christmas Cheer. Since her diagnosis, Linda’s family is grateful to have spent the last two years with her having memorable visits, special meals, and an unforgettable trip to Hawaii.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dave of 37 years; her children Warren (Nicole), Andrea (Dan), Colleen; her grand-daughter Violet; and her siblings Sandy (Betty, Samantha, Allison), Tammy (Gerry, Cam, Dylan), Peter (Brigitte, Benoit, Philipe), Lillian (Angela, Jennifer); her mother (Serene) and many dear friends.

She was predeceased by her father, Jimmy.

The family would like to give a sincere thank you to Dr. Del Paggio, Dr. Bezanson, Dr. Hagerty, and the staff at Thunder Bay Regional Cancer Centre, as well as their friends and family for their incredible support and compassion throughout Linda’s illness.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, in the chapel of Sargent and Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street. The family requests that all who attend wear bright/pastel colours. Those wishing to attend the service virtually may do so at the Sargent and Son Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer of Canada. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.
