John Kenneth (Ken) Davis, aged 66 years, resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Care Group on July 5, 2024. Born on November 25, 1957 in Port Arthur, Ontario, he was a dedicated son, husband, and father.

Ken was a true Northwestern Ontario boy; he counted himself lucky to have spent his whole life exploring the beautiful boreal forests of the area, fishing, hunting, and building lakeside camps for his friends and family to enjoy. He relished every opportunity to get out to camp on Marmion Lake, and particularly loved being out at the lake in autumn.

Ken worked as an electrician for Northern Woods and later, for the Lakehead Public School Board. He will be remembered for his ribbing sense of humour, his unbelievable industriousness in taking on construction projects, and his deep love for his friends and family.

Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Nadine (née LaDouceur); his children, Michael Davis, Kerri (James Williams) Davis, and Danielle (Jose Calderon) Davis; his siblings, Karen (Barry) Kirkbride, Craig Davis, and his father, John (Jack) Davis. Ken was predeceased by his mother Marlene (née Graham) Davis.

Special thanks to the staff at The Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre and the Regional Cancer Centre for their years of exceptional care provided to Ken and support for the family.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for family and friends will take place at Sargent & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 11:00 am. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.
