Mrs. Janet Victoria Morgan, aged 81 years, passed away December 5, 2022.

Born on July 25, 1941 to John and Elsie Trehearn in Rhyl, Wales and raised in Melbourne, Australia. In 1962 Janet embarked on an adventure by moving to what was then Port Arthur, Canada to accept a position as a Radiation Therapist at the Cancer Clinic. She would say she came for a job, but she stayed because she met Alex. They married on January 23, 1966.

Janet moved to London, ON in 2018 to be closer to family.

After 40 years, Janet retired as Director of Radiation Therapy Services at the Northwestern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre in 2002. She continued volunteering until 2018 with many different organizations including The Kidney Foundation and Centre for Health Care Ethics. Janet was a long time member of St. Stephen the Martyr Anglican Church. She always kept busy enjoying her weekly movie night group, lunches with friends and singing every chance she got!

Janet is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children Joanne and David, sister Jacky Wainwright and sister-in-law Joyce Hayes (Bill). She was predeceased by her soulmate Alex on December 17, 2007 and her parents John and Elsie. Interment of ashes will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society in Janet’s name.
