It is with sadness that the family of George announce his passing on December 10, 2022, in Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Hospital in Halifax, NS.
Born in Ontario, he was a son of the late George and Gertrude Dafoe of Port Arthur. George joined the Royal Canadian Navy in Thunder Bay and served in the Korean conflict. After his Navy days were over, he held Management positions in the Maritimes with companies such as American Can, General Instruments and Labatt's Breweries.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosena “Rose” Dafoe; his sons, Stephen (Noreen), Shane (Diane), his granddaughter, Melissa; his grandson, Matthew; and various nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters, Gloria Forbes, Joy Cumby, Judith Goed, Dawn Everts and his nephew, Bobbie Forbes.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation or service as per George's wishes.
