Mr. Dean Wideman, age 61 years, resident of Kaministiquia ON passed away peacefully at Hogarth Riverview Manor with family by his side on August 19, 2025.
Born on June 24,1964 in Fort William, he was raised in Thunder Bay. He graduated from Churchill Highschool and worked at Alstom as a Finisher until he retired in 2021 after 36 years.
Dean was a fan of classic cars and classic rock. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with family and friends.
Dean is survived by his wife Marlene (nee Rintala), son Matthew (Janessa), stepson Justin Hernandez, father Raynold Wideman, sister Sherry (Rob), brother Colin (Ashley), his Aunt Rose (Gary), uncle Marvin (Clarice), sister-in-law Karen Mannisto, brother in-law-Gerry Mannisto (Deborah) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dean was predeceased by his mother Beatrice Wideman (nee Stas), and his uncle Joe Stas (Simone).
Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life for Dean will be held on September 13 at 2 p.m. at Local 1075 Unifor Hall, 112 W Gore Street, Thunder Bay.
