Mrs. Carole Ann Romppai, age 82 years, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on June 22, 2025. Carole was stoic in her battle with cancer and will be dearly missed by her family. Born on March 13, 1943, she has been a lifelong resident of Thunder Bay. She enjoyed volunteering at the 55 Plus Centre and recently received an award for 20 years of service.
Carole is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Henry Romppai. Children: Donna Mauro (Paul), Arnold Romppai, Billy Romppai, Bobby Romppai (Julie Boulet), Cindy Brown (Kevin). Grandchildren: Arthur Romppai, Ryan Mauro, Stephanie Boulet, Isabelle Boulet, Kaden Brown, Nolan Brown. Siblings: Rosemary Lysak, Dan Cooke, Wendy Cooke. She is predeceased by Parents: Arnold Cooke, Vera Cooke, Siblings: Bill Cooke.
Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held with the family at a later date. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Regional Cancer Care Northwest would be greatly appreciated.
