It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister Betty Gollat on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Hogarth Riverview Manor. She was a devout catholic all her life.  Spent most of her life as an East Ender.

In her younger years she was an avid sport person. Had interest in hockey and baseball games. She herself played softball, golfed and curled. She also loved her gardening. The flower and vegetables flourished with her care.

Her working years were spent at Can Car where she was one of the Rosie Riveters. She was predeceased by her mother & father, Mary and Andrew, brothers Louis (Josie), Andrew, Peter, John, Joseph, Thomas (Cecelia) and Paul. Also sisters Cecelia, Chris (Emil), Agnes (Mel), Margaret (Laddie) and brother- in-laws Leonard Kashak and Art Meyer. She is survived by sisters Berna Meyer, Monica Kashak and sister-in-law Shirley Gollat.

Special thanks to the staff of Hogarth who gave Betty wonderful care. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 10:00 am in St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, celebrated by Rev. Berchmans Francis. The interment of ashes will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
