In loving memory of Alyson Leigh Chappelle November 14, 1973 - March 11, 2023 It is with great sadness that the family of Alyson Leigh Chappelle announce her passing on Saturday, March 11 in Thunder Bay, Canada, at the age of 49. Surrounded by loved ones, Alyson passed peacefully, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born and raised in Toronto, Alyson relocated to Thunder Bay in 2016 with her longtime partner Andrew Mckenzie and their first child. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children Colten John and Madelyn Marie. They were the centre of her universe. Together as a family they enjoyed many outdoor activities, spending as much time as possible at camp with their close friends. Shortly after arriving in Thunder Bay, Alyson started working at George’s Market and became part of their extended family. Alyson will be sorely missed by her children and Andrew.

She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile that could light a room, her infectious laugh, her kind and loving heart and empathy.

She is predeceased by her father, Etobicoke Fire Captain John Chappelle, and will remain always in the hearts of her family: mother, Marian Cunningham, stepfather John (Button) Goyen, aunties Colette and Margie Cunningham, aunt Margaret Cunningham (uncle Sean), aunt Diane (Chappelle) Tahmizian (uncle Rudy), uncle Ken Chappelle (aunt Annie) and her many cousins, friends and extended family here in Canada, Ireland and Taiwan.

Cremation has already taken place. Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Should you wish, donations to a charity of your choice, may be made in her memory.
