Woman arrested in drug bust; cocaine, electronics seized

EAGLE LAKE — Police have arrested one person on drug charges during a recent search warrant. 

Treaty 3 Police Service officers executed a search warrant on May 2 at a residence in Migisi Sahgaigan, Eagle Lake First Nation.

During the investigation, one woman was arrested and charged with numerous offences, including possession of a controlled substance, drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, breaking and entering, and unauthorized use of a computer. 

Officers located 156 grams of what is believed to be cocaine, with an estimated street value of over $30,000, along with cellphones and other suspected drugs and evidence related to drug trafficking. 

Police did not name the 41-year-old local woman in their release. 

The accused was released with conditions and is to appear in Dryden Court at a later date.
