NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO -- A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for parts of the region.
Environment Canada says an Alberta Clipper will bring up to 10 centimetres of snow to the region on Wednesday. The snow is expected to be heavy at times with peak snowfall rates up to three centimetres per hour is possible.
Although for many communities the snow will begin Wednesday morning, the heavier, more intense snow is not expected until later this morning or early this afternoon.
The snow is expected to continue this evening before easing near midnight.
