Winter weather advisories issued for Rainy River district areas

Up to 20 centimetres of snow could fall by the end of Thursday

Another blast of winter weather is on the way for several areas of the Rainy River district.

Environment Canada issued weather advisory statements on Wednesday for areas including Fort Frances, Emo, Rainy River, Nestor Falls-Sioux Narrows, forecasting up to 20 centimetres of snow.

The statement said the storm is expected to begin Wednesday morning and continue through Thursday.

The forecast also predicts periods of freezing drizzle, especially Wednesday night, along with local and blowing snow conditions that are expected to lead to low visibility.
