Winter storm watches in effect across the region

Environment Canada has issued winter storm watch advisories across the region, forecasting as much 25 centimetres of snow.

The advisories cover an area spanning from the Manitoba border east to Thunder Bay.

Environment Canada is forecasting between 15 and 25 centimetres of snow and ice pellets, starting Tuesday afternoon and into the evening. The forecast also includes reduced visibility due to heavy and local blowing snow, along with wind gusts up to 60 kilometres per hour.

The snow is expected to taper off Thursday morning.
