KENORA -- CP Rail will be conducting vegetation maintenance works on the railway bridge north of the Kenora Harbourfront roundabout on Wednesday, April 6, from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This portion of Veterans Drive will be closed to all traffic for public safety, except buses and emergency vehicles.
The City has been working collaboratively with CP Rail; however, we could not find a suitable alternative to closing the road.
Road closure barricades will be manned by CP Rail staff.
Motorists are asked to use alternate travel routes. A detour route will be in place via Third Street North.
For the safety of pedestrians, the sidewalk will also be closed. There will be no access under the bridge.
We apologize for the short notice change and thank you for your cooperation as we support CP Rail in their maintenance works.
