DRYDEN—Summer weather gives residents the opportunity to get out and not only clean their yard and garden, but also their community.

In an effort to encourage residents to help ensure a cleaner and healthy community, the City of Dryden reminded residents to clean up and remove unwanted, and unsightly items that have accumulated on and around their property.

Any debris, overgrown grass, trees, and shrubs should also be looked after, in order for residents to continue to abide by and maintain city bylaws.

By taking a proactive part in cleaning up their property and community, the township believes that residents can make a difference in helping their community stay clean and beautiful.

The township encourages residents to abide by maintenance standards and property bylaws, in order to avoid any response from the city for those in non-compliance of these bylaws.

To assist their residents with this clean up initiative, the township gave examples of items that should be delivered to their community landfill site. For example, derelict vehicles and appliances, old mattresses, inoperable equipment, and yard and household waste.

The community notice verbalized the City of Dryden perspective and promoted the hope that by participating in their spring clean up program, residents can continue to be proud of their community and, “Be respectful to their neighbourhoods and the environment that we share.”
