DRYDEN, ON — OPP have laid 10 charges under the Highway Traffic Act against a company and the driver of a vehicle registered to it after an incident just outside Dryden on Sunday evening.

Police posted details about the case on social media early Monday.

They said Dryden OPP received a complaint about an unsafe vehicle travelling below the posted speed limit and "swerving back and forth" on Highway 17.

Officers subsequently located a pickup truck that was towing two trailers, each of which was mounted with portable bleachers.

According to police, the load was over-length, neither the truck nor the trailers had properly-functioning brakes, and the hitch and safety chains were improperly connected.

Officers seized the vehicle plates, and had the truck and trailers towed from the roadside.
