Two men from Manitoba were killed in a crash on Highway 17 near Kenora last week.
Provincial police on Wednesday confirmed the two fatalities, which happened after a half-tonne truck and a tractor trailer collided on Highway 17A at Clearwater Bay around noon on Dec. 9.
Police said the two occupants of the truck, 51-year-old Colin Clay and 21-year-old Jonathan Martens, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both men were from Steinbach.
The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.
The highway had been closed between Kenora and the Manitoba border for several hours as the investigation took place.
