TSB sending investigators after landing accident at Deer Lake First Nation airport

A spokesperson said the aircraft overran the runway and was substantially damaged, but there have not been any reports of serious injuries.

DEER LAKE FIRST NATION — The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is deploying investigators to look into an incident at the Deer Lake First Nation airport.

The statement described the incident as a "landing accident" involving an aircraft registered to Skycare Air Ambulance.

A Transportation Safety Board spokesperson said the aircraft overran the runway at 1:30 a.m. Friday and was substantially damaged.

The transportation board said they've received information that five people were on board, and there were no serious injuries.
