DRYDEN — Ontario Provincial Police have laid charges against a transport truck driver following an incident on Highway 17 near Dryden.

OPP say they investigated after receiving a complaint from a motorist late Tuesday afternoon regarding an aggressive driver of a tractor-trailer.

This led to officers initiating a traffic stop at Vermilion Bay.

They subsequently charged a 43-year-old resident of Brandon, Manitoba on charges of pointing a firearm and possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The accused has been released from custody pending a court appearance in Dryden in July.
