DRYDEN — Provincial police in Dryden initiated a traffic stop on Casimir Avenue on the evening of July 31.

During the investigation, police determined that the passenger had illicit drugs believed for distribution and resale.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl.

As a result, a 50-year-old from Wabigoon was charged with drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

The accused went before bail court on Aug 1.
