DRYDEN, Ont. – A traffic complaint from a member of the public resulted in an impaired driving charge for a Dryden man.

Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police’s Dryden detachment were advised of a possible impaired driver on Kirkpatrick Street in Dryden around 2:44 p.m. on Monday, leading them to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.

In a release, the OPP said an investigation led them to charge a 24-year-old Dryden man with one count of operation while impaired, with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg per 100 millilitres of blood.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden in March 27 to answer to the charges.

The OPP urges anyone with information about possible impaired drivers to call 1-888-310-1122 or submit tips anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or https://ontariocrimestoppers.ca/.
