KENORA — Officers with the Kenora OPP detachment responded to a suspected impaired driver on Park Street after receiving a traffic complaint on Thursday shortly after 4 p.m.

After locating the individual, officers investigated and determined the driver was impaired by alcohol.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the detachment, where, upon further testing, they found the driver had a blood alcohol concentration of over 80.

As a result, a 32-year-old from Kenora was charged with impaired driving.

Additional charges include driving unaccompanied by a qualified driver and driving with a blood alcohol of .05 or above.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court in Aug.
