Thunderstorm advisories have been issued for several parts of Northwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada issued severe thunderstorm watches for areas near the U.S. border, from Manitoba to Shebandowan. A pocket between just east of Fort Frances and Atikokan is under a severe thunderstorm warning.
The storm is expected to roll through Thursday afternoon and into the evening, with a forecast of wind gusts of up to 90 kilometres per hour, as well as the potential for large hail.
