NIPIGON — A Thunder Bay man has been charged with drunk driving after being arrested near Lake Helen.
Nipigon OPP received a complaint on Sunday around 5 p.m. regarding a possible intoxicated driver.
OPP responded to the area on Highway 11 near Lake Helen and located the vehicle with the help of the Anishinabek Police Service Rocky Bay Detachment.
After stopping the vehicle, the driver was tested. Police concluded a 45-year-old Thunder Bay man was intoxicated by alcohol.
He was arrested and also received a 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released from custody and has a future date with the court.
