In the early morning of Oct. 15, OPP officers from the Rainy River District Detachment conducted a routine traffic stop at the corner of Second Street and Central Avenue in the Township of Fort Frances
Through investigation, it was determined that the driver, a 20- year- old Thunder Bay man, of the motor vehicle had been impaired by alcohol. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation the man was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration
- Driving while under suspension
- Novice Driver - B.A.C. above zero
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance
- Cannabis readily available
He was released by way of Undertaking with a Fort Frances court date of Nov. 28 at 9:30 a.m.
