Three people were hurt in a Dryden-area boat collision

DRYDEN,  ON — OPP have laid a charge against the operator of a boat after two vessels collided on Clay Lake in the Dryden area.

A police spokesperson said two people in one of the boats, and a third person in the other, suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

The incident occurred Tuesday and was reported to OPP about 12:30 p.m.

Both vessels were moving at the time of the collision.

A photo posted to the OPP Northwest Region Twitter feed shows that the impact caused considerable damage to both boats.

One individual was charged under Small Vessel Regulations with operating a vessel in a careless manner.

A conviction carries a minimum fine of $350.
