Three charged after police seize drugs, gun in Dryden

DRYDEN — Provincial police have charged three people after a search warrant led to the seizure of drugs and a firearm.

Police said officers executed a search warrant at a Dryden home on Wednesday, where they found suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, and buprenorphine, along with items associated with drug trafficking, a firearm, and ammunition.

Police arrested three people.

Erica Beardy, a 31-year-old from Dryden, is charged with two counts of drug possession, one count of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and failure to comply with a release order. 

Beardy remains in custody.

John King, a 59-year-old from Dryden, is charged with two counts of drug possession and one count of failure to comply with a probation order.

Nathan Turner. a 44-year-old from Dryden, is charged with one count of drug possession.

King and Turner have been released and are due to appear in a Dryden courtroom next month.
