KENORA — Provincial police have investigated three people after a gun-point robbery last week.

Police said officers were called on the evening of Sept. 5 after three people entered a Valley Drive business, with one pointing a pistol-type firearm at an employee and demanding money before the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police, which also involved the OPP's Northwest Emergency Response Team and K-9 unit, searched the area but were unsuccessful.

The investigation led to three suspects being identified and arrested.

Tray Ogemah, a 24-year-old from Winnipeg, along with two suspects from Kenora — 25-year-old Courtney Scott and 25-year-old Jordan Skead — are all charged with robbery using a firearm. Ogemah is also charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Ogemah remains in custody pending a bail hearing, while Scott and Skead were released on an undertaking to appear in a Kenora court at a later date.

The charges have yet to be tested in court.
