THUNDER BAY — Synergy North has launched a survey to find out what customers care about from the service provider in regard to environmental, social, and governance aspects.

"There's a variety of issues that many people feel are more important than others, and we want to make sure that we balance them out," said Andy Armitage, Synergy North's vice-president of customer and information services.

Armitage said stakeholders could be concerned with a variety of things, including working with carbon reduction as a company or making sure that any governance-related issues such as corporate excellence are taken care of.

The survey will be available online until Feb. 9; then, the results will be analyzed for the power company.

Armitage said any changes stemming from the survey results likely wouldn't be actualized until around this time next year.

"The end result comes out as more of a sustainability report, maybe next year at this point in time as part of our annual general report. It's not completely set in stone yet, but that would be the approach."
