The OPP said their investigation determined the individual had warrants out in Manitoba and British Columbia.

The news release also said the individual possessed an edged weapon.

Upon searching the individual, police also seized suspected illicit substances including oxycodone, Canadian currency and items associated with drug.

As a result, a 52-year-old from Winnipeg, Man., was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon, drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and three counts of failure to comply with release orders.
